朱宣咸(1927年浙江——2002年重庆),中国画画家、木刻版画家、漫画家与美术活动家。20世纪40年代初起从事中国画与中国新兴木刻版画,半个多世纪来,创作了大量中国画、版画、漫画、插画、水粉画、水彩画、连环画等作品,并被中国美术馆及各地美术馆、博物馆等收藏;被《中国年鉴》,《中国百年版画》等大型文献收录;从1946年到2002年多次入选国内外一系列重要展览,发表作品数千次,艺术风格被《人民日报》等主要媒体专题评论;出版有《朱宣咸作品选》,《朱宣咸花鸟画选辑》,《朱宣咸木刻版画集》,《朱宣咸风景木刻版画选辑》,《朱宣咸漫画》,《艺术常青——美术家朱宣咸》等;由文化、新闻、出版等六单位联合主办了“朱宣咸从艺五十五年画展”;生平被载入《中国美术辞典》等国家级辞书

        作为一个中国画画家、木刻版画家、漫画家与美术活动家,朱宣咸被赞誉为:“善于用画笔与刻刀创作的诗人”,其作品也洋溢着鲜明的多元性。

        这种多元性体现在他长期坚持、并贯穿始终的对中国画、木刻版画、时政漫画、插画、水粉画,水彩画、连环画等中西绘画多个画种的齐头并进与同步驾驭,对花鸟,人物,风景等多个学科的广泛涉猎、相互交融与相互增光添彩,以及由此所呈现出的多方面艺术才华和作品内涵的丰厚。

        此外,这种多元性还体现在朱宣咸作为一个跨越了新旧时代大半个世纪的社会美术活动家,他为我们社会美术事业的进步与发展所作出的贡献。

        这些无疑也大大增加了他作品的厚度、力度与价值。


Zhu Xuanxian was praised as “a poet skilled in brushes and gravers”, so that his works is featured with vivid multiplicity.

Such multiplicity is reflected from his long-term persistent involvement in the works of traditional Chinese painting, woodcut, political caricatures, illustration, comic strips, gouache and water-color painting, and from his combination of the themes of flowers, birds, humans and sceneries, which demonstrates his multiple artistic talents and the abundant connotations of his works.

Besides, such multiplicity is reflected from the fact that he was a social artistic activist in more than half a century covering the old and the new societies, and that he contributed to the advancement and development of our social artistic cause.

These undoubtedly add the significance to the profoundness, strength and value of his works.
